As we start with a new beginning, we start making new year resolutions and plans. As a data scientist, I find taking up new data science challenges more fun at the same time keeping me in constant upskill. So I have collated a few hashtags for data science-related challenges as well as resources to get a head start.
As everyone knows that the resources are not limited however you can some of these resources as a starter..
SQL:
#100daysofSQL I cant emphasize the importance of SQLfor anyone looking to break into data science. For starters you can start with - SQL ZOO and Data with Danny. Finally, you can test your skills using StratScratch
Coding:
#100DaysOfCode Coding is part of anyone who likes crunching data. Either it's a simple mathematical expression or a complex algorithm. Mostly used coding in Python for this hashtag. Python coding resources: Step by step guide - Python coding & Python Programming Tutorial
Data Visualization:
#100DaysOfDataViz Data Visualization is another crucial skill to hone by aspiring data scientists. There are my online courses to pick up this skill however making your data visualization public and stand out will draw out many opinions and you can learn from it.
Statistics:
#7daysofstatistics Theoretical or practical fundamentals statistics skills are a must. As a start, there is a 7-day mini-course by MachineLearningMastery and later on check out the book "Statistics for Machine Learning"
Anything Related to Data:
#66daysofdata This hashtag can be used if you are constantly learning/upskilling which can involve Data Science, Data Analytics, or any other data-related concepts.
