Click here for my Youtube video on this book review

After a month, I am here back with another book review. As the title says the book review on “Do Epic Shit” by Ankur Warikoo.

Author Introduction:

Ankur Warikoo is a content creator, social media influencer, and entrepreneur. His content is streamed on his Youtube channels, Twitter feeds, LinkedIn & newsletters. Most of his videos are about personal growth and finance which are hugely popular among the crowd. From someone being a Ph.D. dropout, she has successfully paved the path to successful financial freedom. Now without further ado, let's get into the book.

The Book is separated into 6 parts and each part is significantly covered by the author with quotes and life lessons.

  • Part 1 is about “Success & Failures”, in this part, he discusses how he decided to drop out of his Ph.D. degree and decided to move on with what he believes to be his interest. Most points are listed as quotes.

  • Part 2 is on “Habits”, in this part, he lists some of the habits he followed and there are more than 10 habits he listed and their significance.

  • Part 3 is all about “Awareness”, in this part he lists the importance of being aware of yourself and your surrounding to lead a better life. Again in this section, most of his content is in the form of quotes.

  • Part 4 is on ”Enterpernuship”, in this part, he conveys the pros and cons of an entrepreneur and pushes the reader to think about the fact involved in a life of an entrepreneur

  • Part 5 is on “Money”, in this part, as an Indian he has listed certain thoughts/misconceptions people have about money. He corrects the misconceptions and lists what are the money habits that we can learn/pick from.

  • And finally, part 6 is about “Relationships”, in this final part, he signifies the importance of having a balance between work and relationships. At the end of the part, he mentioned a cute letter addressed to his kids on what he intended to tell them.

Review:

  • First and foremost, the complete book is conveyed in a quotes/life lessons format.

  • Second, most of the learnings may already be known to the readers regarding good habits, etc. However, it doesn't hurt to read this book.

  • Third, the topics such as Habits and Money can be very important topics for youngsters to look into as they can definitely benefit from them.

  • The topic “Awareness” is my personal favorite since it was eye-opening for me to look into myself and be present in the moment.

  • Finally, I would rate the book a 4 out of 5 stars due to all the above points I mentioned.

Bonus: He tells us on the best way to use this book.
